San Mamés Jatetxea and La Campa de los Ingleses have special menus for Bilbao ‘Great Week’ or Aste Nagusia.
Aste Nagusia is here. And when it comes to recharging your batteries, there is no better place than at San Mamés stadium. Two of the hospitality establishments (San Mamés Jatetxea and La Campa de los Ingleses) at the Cathedral, as the stadium is known, have laid on special menu’s for Bilbao’s Great Week, while Geuria! is carrying on serving its wide array of baguettes, toasted sandwiches and hamburgers.

San Mamés Jatetxea
Chef Fernando Canales’s restaurant has a set menu for 89 euros (including VAT) consisting of 3 starters (Pani Puri with Spider Crab, Red Prawn and Basil Foam; Tuna Tataki Salad; and Foie Terrine and Carrot Jam); fish (Cod and Pisto (Spanish Ratatouille) with Pilpil (Garlic and Olive Oil sauce); meat (Roast Pigeon and Truffled Potatoes); and dessert (Caramelised French Toast with Vanilla Ice Cream), washed down with red or white wine, mineral water and coffee.
Geuria!
In turn, Geuria!, the San Mamés sports bar, will make your mouth water thanks to its freshly baked bread used for its rolls and hamburgers.
It also has a menu with a wide array of dishes including bacon fries, chicken fingers, croquettes, Cesar salad, Buffalo wings, nachos… and a wide choice of baguettes, toasted sandwiches and hamburgers. And, of course, we can’t forget the delicious Thate’s Hot Dog.
La Campa de los Ingleses
This establishment has a €42 set menu (including VAT) for Aste Nagusia consisting of a platter of Iberico Cured Meats and Cheeses, Tomato and Tuna Belly Salad Dressed with Bay of Biscay Anchovies, and a Selection of Croquettes (to share). The choice for the mains is Ranero Club Cod and Iberico Pork Secreto Cut with Truffled Parmentier Potatoes. The dessert is Coffee and Cream Custard Slice; and you can choose between crianza red or white wine.
