AC Museoa continues to break records. During 2023, 126,973 people visited Athletic Club’s museum to discover our history and take a tour of San Mames. This figure represents a 29% increase in the number of visits compared to the previous year.
In terms of where the visitors came from, 27.95% were from Bizkaia, 43.01% from the rest of Spain and 29.04% from other parts of the world.
A football museum like none other
As part of its constant commitment to innovation and the future of entertainment, AC Museoa recently launched AC Virtual Adventure, a 100% immersive and interactive experience that lets visitors enter a virtual Athletic Club universe using virtual reality goggles and movement sensors.
The stadium tour gives guests the chance to see the home dressing room, visit San Mames’ press room, take a photo with Pichichi’s bust, run out on to the pitch through the tunnel and much more.
What’s more, visitors can spend hours wandering around AC Museoa, where more than 500 original objects preserved throughout the Club’s 125-year history are on display. They can also enjoy audiovisual productions, interactive games and the latest generation immersive video wall.
Visitors have the choice between taking the tour with a professional guide (weekends and holidays) or doing it solo with an audio guide available in four languages that can be dowloaded via a mobile. Those who download the audio guide are led through a 34-point route covering the most interesting parts of the museum and stadium.
