Practical information: Athletic Club vs RC Celta

Important points for anyone attending Sunday evening’s LaLiga EA Sports Matchday 6 clash in Bilbao.

This Sunday at 16:15, San Mames hosts the LaLiga Matchday 6 fixture between Athletic Club and RC Celta. Below there is some useful information for all those coming to Bilbao to watch the match at The Cathedral. 

STADIUM ACCESS

The gates will open at 14:45. Please try to arrive ahead of time so you can speed up your entry into the stadium, avoid last-minute crowds and enjoy the start of the match.

ACCESS WITH MEMBERSHIP CARDS

Club Members can enter the stadium with their physical membership card or with their digital membership card. 

CARD TRANSFERS

Don’t forget, if you cannot attend the fixture and would like to give up your seat for someone else, you have these options:

  • Give your physical membership card to another person
  • Give your digital card to another fan via the app
  • Temporarily give your membership card to the Club via the app.
  • Transfer your Gazte Abonoa to the Club via the app
     

TICKET SALES

The San Mamés ticket office, located between Gates 6 & 7 at the stadium, will be open during the following times:

  • Saturday, September 21: from 10:30-13:30 and 17:30-20:00.
  • Sunday September 22: from 10:30 onwards.

Tickets will be available online right up until kick-off. Buy online here 

San Mames VIP Area: ‘Matchday Experience’ tickets are also on sale. Watch the game from San Mames’ central ring and enjoy a unique experience at The Cathedral.

SAN MAMES SHOP

The official shop (located between Gates 26 and 0 at San Mames) will be open non-stop from 10:00 until 19:00.

BARS & RESTAURANTS

You can enjoy a wide range of products at the food and drink stands (calle Poza bars) throughout the stadium. You can place orders at the Online Bar up to 24 hours before kick-off. Pay online and pick up your food at an assigned stand while avoiding the half-time queues.

Come to Geuria!, the sportsbar located between Gates 13 and 14 at San Mames. From 12:30 until 19:00, you can enjoy a wide and varied menu at The Cathedral’s in-built bar while watching the game on giant screens. There will be a special Matchday menu available.

In addition, the Bar La Campa de los Ingleses will be open from 10:00 to 13:30, while Restaurant San Mames Jatetxea will be open 13:00 to 13:30, with no dinner service.

AC MUSEUM & SAN MAMES TOUR

You can visit the Athletic Club Museum (next to Gate 20) and do the San Mames Tour from 10:00 until 14:15, with the final tour finishing at 11:30. From 11:30 until 14:15, guests will only be allowed to visit the museum. Buy tickets here.
